Terrie Leigh Relf, M.A.
Terrie Leigh Relf, M.A. has a B.A. in Buddhist Studies/Buddhist and Western Psychology from Naropa Institute, and an M.A. in English, with an emphasis in Rhetoric and Writing, from San Diego State University. In addition to being a writing instructor, workshop facilitator, and writing coach, she has also worked as an editor, copy writer, and content provider in a variety of venues. Over the past ten-plus years, Relf has served in a variety of capacities which include: City Works, San Diego City College's literary arts anthology; poetry editor and "Poet's Workshop” columnist for writersmonthly.com and WORD San Diego.com; “deputy” poetry editor for NFG—writing with attitude; editor for Mindfire-Renewed and “FireWeed”, MindFire’s literary newsletter; and as a staff writer for Writing Learning Centre.us. Currently, she is the poetry editor for Tales from the Moonlit Path, and is on staff at Sam’s Dot Publishing, where she is the editor for Hungur Magazine, the editor/contest judge for The Drabbler, co-editor for Hahaku and Sounds of the Night, as well as a special projects editor in the novel division. She also pens the monthly “Mistress of Rhetoric” column for The Espresso, an independent newspaper for café society. With approximately 700 publishing credits, Relf’s short stories, articles, columns, and poetry have appeared in a variety of genre and non-genre publications, both on-and-off-line. She has published four chapbooks: Lap Danced by the Muse (writersmonthly, 2002), Metro Madness (lucy westenra ebooks, 2003), The Ice Queen, an illustrated story book (Sam’s Dot Publishing, 2003), and Jupiter’s Eye (Sam’s Dot Publishing, 2004). She has several projects in the wings, two of which are due to be published this year. She is also a life-time member of the Science Fiction Poetry Association.
